February 6, 2013 was an historic day as twenty FCA varsity football players signed to college. It was a great honor to be a part of the National College Football Signing Day Ceremony. Derwin Gray, Cavon Walker, Jermaine Carter, and Yannick Ngakoue were recruited to The University of Maryland.  All four of them have won awards on The Washington Post All Metro Team, The Under Armour All American, Cheasapeake Bowl, The Nation by Rivals.com and The DC by Rivals.com. Coach Rahim could not stop smiling as he shook each varsity member’s hand while congratulating them on their recruitment to college. Coach Rahim stated “I think each week the kids gave their all. The level of competition and our unique schedule makes every game a big game”. He also stated that,  “the values that drive the football team are character, integrity, selflessness and family atmosphere”.

Regina McDuffie is a senior, Adonis Miller is a 2010 graduate, Angelique Dove and Tyjuan Morris are sophomores at Friendship Collegiate Academy.
