Stars Shine Brightest

Poem by Compton Wright.

Talking to profound friends that let depression attack their hearts

As they discuss their painful habits that relieve their pain and stress

I only feel sadness in their voices and cold bitter stares in their eyes

But when the night comes alive and the stars come out to visit us

I tell them that you have to become the tiny bright dots up in the sky

As each of those are people’s souls and hearts behind that blackboard

As when I look into the sky and seeing showers of stars lining each other

Showing images of their constellations telling their stories and showing

Our destines to the believers and blinding the doubters that insult them

But the most beautiful trait about stars are they are shape shifters that

Disguised themselves into human beings and walk among us with their

Influences and guidance that continues to mysteriously attract us as

From celebrities you see in magazines or on when shown on TV screens

To the people like your friends and family that has a brightening aura

When even in the darkest night where all darkness manifest in our sleep

They create light that erase all depression and sorrow that covers over us

As I strive to become chosen to become a star in the sky that shoots out

Wishes to those who wish upon my presence when speeding across their

Eyes close hearing their thoughts for more luxury, love or even for fame

While one day their wishes come true and with a bit of luck it’ll never fade

As from each star had its unique shine shown in the beautiful form designs

Strive to show your unique talents, show every doubter what you’re made of

As every day a star is born providing its light for those are always completely

In the dark of everything around them as continue your best and you too will

Become of what you see in the dark blackboard sky those beautiful dots called stars
