Everyone Stands Together: MLK’s Legacy and American Politics

I believe that killing Dr. Martin Luther King did and didn’t kill the dream because Dr. Martin Luther King already got the message out that everyone should be equal. The dream will stay until everyone becomes equal. Once you kill a leader, it might bring down others and make them lose hope but when Dr. King was assassinated, everyone still stood with Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream. Some people might have said that because he died, they shouldn’t support the dream. But, April 4th will be the 40th anniversary of Dr. King’s assassination and the dream still lives on.
